ABOUT SOVA CANVAS PROJECTThe SOVA Canvas Project is an exhibition opportunity open to artists and creatives. Participants purchase an official SOVA canvas, create their own artwork on it, and submit a photograph of the finished piece for consideration. A selection of submitted artworks will be chosen for the SOVA exhibition in March 2027.
The Project:
This exhibition begins with a blank canvas.
Artists and creatives can purchase a canvas through the website and use it to create their own artwork. Once complete, they can submit a photograph of their work for consideration to sova.exhibit@gmail.com
A selection of submitted artworks will then be chosen to be exhibited in a physical group exhibition.
The canvases purchased through the project will help fund the exhibition, creating a cycle where the artists taking part help make the exhibition possible.
There are no restrictions on what you create. The canvas is simply the starting point.

No. Anyone can purchase a canvas and create artwork for the project. However, purchasing a canvas does not guarantee selection for the exhibition.

Only official SOVA exhibition canvases purchased through the SOVA website can be submitted. Each canvas will have the SOVA mark on the back to confirm that it is an official project canvas.

The project currently offers two square canvas sizes: 20 × 20 cm and 50 × 50 cm.

Yes. You can purchase multiple canvases and submit a separate artwork for each one. Each canvas must be an official SOVA project canvas.

No. All submitted works will be considered, but the exhibition will be curated from the submissions received. Purchasing a canvas gives you the opportunity to submit your work, but does not guarantee selection.

Your canvas will arrive with a leaflet containing the full project details, including how and when to submit your finished artwork.

The project is designed to fund the exhibition through canvas sales. All profit from the canvas sales will go towards the costs of producing the exhibition, including the venue and other associated exhibition costs.

If you decide to make your artwork available for sale, further information about the sales process and any applicable commission will be provided to selected artists.
